Our client is an international law firm specialized in representing some of the largest financial institutions in the world. Located in NYC, the firm is seeking a  Billing Specialist who will work heavily with financial systems, managing projects including implementations.  Tremendous opportunity for a mid-senior level candidate looking to get in the door of a reputable firm in a technology/systems capacity.

Responsibilities:

• Forward pro forma billing print-outs to billing attorney; make edits as per Partner instructions
• Prepare final invoice and draft for Partner approval
• Prepare and ensure successful submission of e-bills
• Analyze, review, and ensure compliance with Outside Counsel Billing Guidelines
• Collaborate and meet with Partners to review unbilled work in progress and A/R inventory
• Make sure necessary e-billing task/activity codes, matter ID and budgets are incorporated in matter details
• Follow up with partially paid invoices to assure firm collects A/R
• Establish open lines of effective communication with clients’ financial team so invoices are processed properly and expeditiously

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• 5+ years experience law firm billing
