My client is a prestigious financial institution located in New York City. They are looking for a Tax Director to be part of a dynamic team of tax professionals, designing, implementing and managing tax planning strategies, working with both internal and external teams and staying current on new tax regulations and laws. Reports to the VP Tax.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide analysis on US & non-US transactions, including M&A, cross border, reorganization.
• Prepare memos, both internal and external in relation to impending and executed transactions
• Collaborate with business partners to identify and implement tax planning
• Provide support to other finance teams when needed
• Manage external law firm and accounting firm relationships
• Stay current with any new tax regulations and/or laws as they pertain to the company.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Advance degree (JD, LLM)
• 12+ years of relevant Global Tax experience – including M&A, cross-border, partnership tax, Private Equity
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with tax software
