Senior Accountant

A Large Logistics company located in NYC is looking for a Senior Accountant to become a member of their team! Responsibilities including all Accounting activities – reconciliations, consolidations, working with auditors and preparing financial statements.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare financial statements including footnote disclosures
  • Perform month-end procedures & various account reconciliations and analyses
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Prepare journal entries into the general ledger and the consolidation system
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting information for management and finance executive team
  • Assist with the application of GAAP to new transactions
  • Perform analysis of Balance Sheet and Income Statement accounts Balance sheet account reconciliations and roll forwards
  • Manage budget vs. actual analyses on a monthly basis and communicate across all functions / departments
  • Assist in representation of the Company in financial audits and reviews.
  • Support process improvement initiatives for specific areas of responsibility.
  • Special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • 3-6 years Accounting experience
  • CPA or CPA track required

Payroll Manager

A Global Consumer Products company that is looking for a Payroll Manager to join their team. This is a top tier company and offers excellent benefits, fantastic incentives and room for advancement.

Responsibilities

  • Administer the functions necessary for the proper and timely processing of employee payroll data, maintain controls (Input and Output) associated with U.S. payroll using integrated payroll and HRIS system
  • Manage timely processing of transactions relating to various benefits and Federal statute compliance
  • Processing payroll for up to 1000 employees (union + non-union)
  • Processing payroll both in US and Canada
  • Manage timekeeping process for all employees, ensuring that hours are properly tracked & paid
  • Manage and process transactions related to Flexible Spending Accounts and Health Spending Accounts
  • Manage and process W-2s
  • Knowledge of changing payroll taxes (federal, state, local)
  • Knowledge of labor laws for each state (short term disability, FMLA, sick leave, workers comp)
  • Review and verify payroll, post payroll transactions to general ledger
  • Calculate commissions and bonuses for employees
  • Ensure payroll and general ledger data integrity, assign proper security levels to internal staff as necessary
  • Assist with payroll and 401k audits as needed

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience (multi-state taxation and international payroll experience)
  • Software experience: ADP Workforce Now, Kronos, Ulti-pro, Empower, Excel
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Processing payroll for 500 – 1000 employees.

Credit & Collections Manager

Our client is a financial services company that is looking to bring a Credit & Collections Manager on board to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the management, protection, and collection of the company’s AR portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage overall functions of Credit/Collections and AR – oversee staff and mentor/develop.
  • Investigate the credit worthiness and approve/deny credit applications and credit limits Manage risk for new and existing customers.
  • Oversee Cash App and Collection process with AR team
  • Daily reporting.
  • Set up domestic and international collections and credit arrangements.
  • Review credit reports and financial statements

Requirements:

  • 6-10 years Chargeback/Accounts Receivable/Collections experience is a must
  • Financial Services industry preferred
  • Bachelor Degree required
